Cloud DevOps Engineer

Location: REMOTE duration: 2 to 3 months (Maybe longer) or could be part of longer-term conversion possible

Role Focus
  • Build, deploy, and manage Kubernetes-based platforms using Amazon EKS Anywhere
  • Support hybrid environments across AWS cloud and on-prem data centers
  • Help modernize infrastructure and enable containerized application deployments
Core Technical Skills
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon EKS / EKS Anywhere
  • AWS cloud services and architecture
  • Hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure experience
  • Containerization using Docker
  • Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
  • CI/CD pipeline tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
  • Linux systems administration
  • Networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, routing, and VPNs
EKS Anywhere-Specific Experience
  • Deploying and managing EKS Anywhere clusters
  • Supporting Kubernetes clusters on bare metal, VMware vSphere, or other on-prem platforms
  • Managing cluster upgrades, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of hybrid connectivity between AWS and on-prem environments
  • Experience with GitOps tools such as Flux or Argo CD is helpful
Preferred Experience
  • Monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Splunk, or ELK
  • Security controls for Kubernetes worklo
  • IAM, RBAC, secrets management, and policy enforcement
  • Experience supporting production enterprise environments
  • Scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Soft Skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud/on-prem issues
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Comfortable working remotely with cross-functional teams
  • Experience supporting enterprise clients or managed services environments
