Bakersfield, CA | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Weekends as needed)
Exact Staff is hiring an experienced Forklift Operator/General Laborer to join our warehouse and transload operations team in Bakersfield. This position offers steady work and weekly pay, and is responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift to unload trucks and railcars while also assisting with general warehouse duties to support daily operations.
This position is ideal for individuals with sit-down forklift and general warehouse/labor experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
Safely operate a sit-down forklift to unload trucks and railcars
Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the warehouse and yard
Palletize products for storage and shipment
Perform general labor duties including sweeping, cleaning, and maintaining an organized work area
Assist with warehouse operations as needed to ensure efficient workflow
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
Inspect equipment before each shift and report any maintenance concerns
Work as part of a team to meet daily production and shipping goals
Qualifications:
Previous sit-down forklift experience required
Current forklift certification required
Ability to safely unload trucks and railcars with minimal supervision
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
Strong work ethic and willingness to assist with general labor duties when not operating the forklift
Pay, Schedule, and Location
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Weekends as needed)
Shifts Available: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
